YNK.

Beauty and haircare fulfillment: bottles, jars, and hazmat screening, from New Jersey.

YNK quotes beauty and haircare the same way it quotes the categories on its floor. Bottles and jars of liquids, creams, oils, and foams are received scan-to-stock, picked scan-verified, and packed to your rules. Aerosols and alcohol-based products are screened for hazmat before we quote, so the carrier and service are right from the first order. Orders in by 12pm ET ship the same business day.

What this category needs, and what we do

Liquids that cannot leak in transit
Packing rules per SKU: orientation, cap checks, and a seal or bag on anything that could weep, mapped into the WMS during onboarding and followed on every order.
Glass jars that arrive intact
Fragile is flagged at the SKU, so the picker and the packer both see it. Cushioned pack-outs set per SKU, not whatever carton is closest.
Aerosols and alcohol-based products
Hazmat screening at quote. We identify what ships as hazmat or ORM-D, which limits the carriers and services we can use, and price and route it accordingly.
Shades and sizes that look alike
Every variant barcoded and scan-verified against the order before it goes in the box. Under 0.3% pick and pack error across the floor.
Cutoff and SLA
Orders in by 12pm ET ship the same business day. Later orders ship the next business day, two to three in peak.
Rates that hold through a launch
Handling $3.00 per order, storage $0.65 per cubic foot per month, returns $3.00 per parcel, as estimates. No seasonal or peak surcharges on handling or storage.
Bottles and jars

Liquids, creams, oils, and foams, packed so they arrive the way they left.

A beauty order fails in two ways: it leaks, or it breaks. Both are decided before the box is sealed. At receiving, each SKU is scanned to stock and checked against your rules. During onboarding you tell us how each product travels, upright or flat, bagged or not, cushioned or not, and those rules go into the WMS against the SKU. The packer does not decide on the day. The rule decides.

Oils and anything with a pump can be sealed or bagged by your rule, so one loose cap does not ruin the rest of the order. Glass jars and bottles are cushioned by your rule. It is the same packing discipline the floor runs for glass bottles and cans in beverage, applied to a smaller, denser order.

Foams and pressurized cans are a separate question, covered below, because the limit there is the carrier, not the carton.

Hazmat screening

Aerosols and alcohol-based products are screened before we quote.

Some aerosols, alcohol-based sprays, perfumes, and oils ship as hazmat or ORM-D. That limits which carriers and services can take them, and it changes the label on the box. We go through your SKU list before we quote, flag each product that falls into that group, confirm the service that will carry it, and price it in the quote. You find out at the proposal, not on the dock.

Send a safety data sheet for anything you are not sure about.

Once a SKU is flagged, the rule follows it. The WMS routes that order to a service that accepts it, and the pick and pack process is the same scan-verified process as everything else on the floor.

Variants and launches

Look-alike shades, kits, and a launch that does not change your rate.

Forty shades of one product look identical on a shelf. Every variant is barcoded at receiving and scanned at pick, so a shade is confirmed against the order before it goes in the box. Discovery sets and gift kits are set up once in the WMS as standing kits and picked like any SKU. Samples, inserts, and a gift with purchase are stored here and added by rule, for example a sample in every order over a threshold you set.

Launches and restocks spike. The handling and storage rates in your agreement hold through them. There are no seasonal or peak surcharges on either. Nominal, a jewelry brand on this floor, put 10,000+ orders through in one weekend from a last-minute sale and every order shipped within SLA.

Orders in by 12pm ET ship the same business day. You watch each one, and your inventory by shade, in the same live dashboard we run our own brands on.

Proof from the floor
1.2M+
orders a year, under 0.3% pick and pack error

Beauty and haircare are quoted the same way as the categories already on the floor: fashion, jewelry, supplements, and beverage. The numbers above are that floor. Veiled ships bulky apparel averaging six units an order at a 99.995% order success rate. Nominal’s last-minute warehouse sale generated 10,000+ orders in one weekend and every order shipped within SLA.

Questions

Do you ship beauty and haircare today?

Beauty and haircare are quoted the same way as the categories on the floor: fashion, jewelry, supplements, and beverage. Bottles and jars of liquids, creams, oils, and foams are received, picked, and packed with the same process, and aerosols and alcohol-based products are screened for hazmat before we quote.

Do you handle aerosols, alcohol-based products, or perfume?

Yes, with hazmat screening first. Some aerosols, alcohol-based sprays, and oils ship as hazmat or ORM-D, which limits the carriers and services we can use. Tell us in the intake and we price and route them accordingly.

How do you keep liquids from leaking?

With packing rules per SKU, mapped into the WMS during onboarding: orientation, cap checks, a seal or bag on anything that could leak, and cushioning for glass. The same discipline runs for glass bottles and cans in beverage.
